2. How long does it take to finish the program for MA? PhD?

The M.A. Program usually takes 2.5 years with full time studying. You have up to 5 years to finish the program.

The Ph.D. program usually takes 4 years with doctoral dissertation. You have up to 7 years to finish the program.

3. Is there any scholarship available?

- Yes, you could apply for scholarships and assistantships, which is reviewed by the Daybreak University Scholarship committee. When submitting the admission application, please submit a one-page scholarship request letter (no forms available).

4. Is Financial Aid available?

- Currently it’s not available, however we are in the process of getting FAFSA to be approved for student loans.

5. What accreditations does school have?

- National Institutional Accreditation: Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS)

- Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)

- California BPPE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education)

- BBS (The Board of Behavioral Sciences): MA in Counseling program with the Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy meets the statutory requirements for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

6. Are you accredited for COAMFTE?

- The MA and PhD MFT programs have passed the Eligibility Criteria and are in the progress for the Self Study.

7. What is the deadline for application?

8. Are you an online school?

- Daybreak University offers online, face-to-face, and hybrid courses. However, you can finish everything via synchronous and asynchronous online courses.

9. Can I finish everything online?

- Yes

11. Where is your campus? Can I visit?

- We’re open M-F 9am-5pm and you can make an appointment for a visit.

12. How many people are in your classroom?

- It depends on the class, but typically somewhere between 6-50 students.

13. Why is your tuition so low?

- Our vision is to be able to make education affordable.

14. How many classes are considered full time?

- Two courses (equivalent to 9 quarters)

15. Are you a Christian school?

- No. However, it was founded based on Christian values but we are not a Christian school. Students’ diversity is respected and valued.
