The M.A. Program usually takes 2.5 years with full time studying. You have up to 5 years to finish the program.
The Ph.D. program usually takes 4 years with doctoral dissertation. You have up to 7 years to finish the program.
- Yes, you could apply for scholarships and assistantships, which is reviewed by the Daybreak University Scholarship committee. When submitting the admission application, please submit a one-page scholarship request letter (no forms available).
- Currently it’s not available, however we are in the process of getting FAFSA to be approved for student loans.

- COAMFTE (Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education): The COAMFTE is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as the only accrediting agency for graduate degree and clinical training programs in Marriage and Family Therapy in the United States and Canada since CHEA’s inception in 1997. MA in Counseling program with the Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy is accredited by the COAMFTE.
- California BBS (The Board of Behavioral Sciences): MA in Counseling program with the Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy meets the statutory requirements for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
